RIOCORD is a flexible pentyl fuse with a core made of an explosive material (PETN).
RIOCORD detonates at an approximate velocity of 7,500 m/s (+/-10%).
RIOCORD can (when used correctly) initiate packaged explosives and RIOBOOSTERs. RIOCORD can also be used to initiate non-electric detonators or with RIODELAY micro-delay relays, ,making for a wide variety of sequencing possibilities.
RIOCORD is manufactured in three series, approved for dust-hazardous environments (permissible), reinforced and standard.
