FORCIT Group’s Sustainability Report 2024 Has Been Published

FORCIT Group’s sustainability report for 2024 has been published. The new report is crafted mostly in line with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Directive (CSRD). The CSRD reporting requirement has not yet entered into force for FORCIT Group, but we have wanted to develop our sustainability reporting proactively.

The comprehensive report describes the FORCIT Group’s sustainability activities during 2024 through both numerical data and practical examples. Sustainability work was active throughout the year, and included many highlights, such as:

  • In 2024, there were no LTI (lost time injuries), that is accidents that would have led to sick leave in FORCIT Group. Personnel safety is at the core of responsible and sustainable business.
  • Research and development activities to create products that are more and more sustainable continued: practical testing was carried out, among other things, to develop a nitrogen-free explosive, and to decompose waste matrix and recycle the resulting fractions into the manufacture of products.
  • The precision of our emissions calculations was improved, which facilitates both product-specific emissions calculation and official reporting, and above all highlights the development needs and changes in important environmental issues.
  • Double materiality assessment was used to determine the most relevant topics to report, and in addition, the information it produced was used to set clear goals for leadership, to assess significance, and to map ESG risks. The assessment was carried out with strong Nordic collaboration between the Explosives and Consulting business areas.
